Why donate to KID Inc.? For our donors, it’s the smile on a child’s face, the laughter as they run around the room, and the joy they bring to every moment in our KIDCampus. But it’s also the feeling of being part of something greater than a moment. KID Inc. donors give their hard-earned dollars, items, or precious time to ensure South Florida children and families have loving, safe homes.

Our donors are part of what makes KID Inc. so special and impactful. When they give, no matter what they give or how much, they help produce positive outcomes for children in distress. A single donated toy can help a scared child feel safe. A few dollars can ensure a child has a notebook on their first day of school. Spending just a few minutes out of your day can make a child feel loved for the first time.

Why Our Donors Give

Our donors come from all walks of life and various backgrounds. Some have benefited from our services in the past, as children or parents themselves. Others might have stumbled across us when looking for a way to give back. Whatever the reason, we believe our donors are some of the most caring and generous people South Florida has to offer.

When you go to the facility, you can’t help but feel for the children that are there. The issues they’ve gone through. And on the other side of the coin is the incredible support that the people at Kids in Distress lend to these children… Kids in Distress has taken them in, given them homes, helped to teach their parents how to raise them, helped to bring these children into the mainstream of society and let them know they’re loved and cared for.

Interacting with these wonderful youngsters it’s been a huge part of our lives and a part of our lives we’re very grateful to have participated in. The question often comes up, ‘What can you do to contribute to Kids in Distress?’ It’s really quite simple. Like any charity, they need money, time, and volunteers. You can volunteer your time. If you have children, I encourage you to get involved in their after-school programs so that your children can see how these kids live and can contribute to their lives and help add normalcy to their lives and make them feel and see what a family is like.

Butterfly Effect

One of our primary donor levels is the Butterfly Effect circle. This group of donors automatically contributes to KID Inc. at a set level monthly. They say the flapping of a butterfly’s wings can have massive impacts. We know how true that is, thanks to the support of every Butterfly Effect Donor.

Their automatic monthly contribution ensures a stable flow of resources to Kid Inc. This enables us to better plan and coordinate our services month-to-month and year-over-year. Thanks in large part to our Butterfly Effect donors, we know how many families and children we can serve each year.

KID Auxiliary

Another one of our donor levels is the KID Auxiliary. Formed back in the early days of KID Inc. in 1984, they’ve been an integral part of our family ever since. Joining the KID Auxiliary makes you a member of an organization dedicated to promoting the protection and well-being of vulnerable children and youth.

As a KID Auxiliary member, you play a vital role in helping KID Inc. achieve its mission through fun, consistent fundraising events. KID Auxiliary Members meet, plan, and host events to raise funds for all the work that makes KID Inc. impactful.

As a member, you join a wonderful group of like-minded individuals who are committed to helping our community’s most vulnerable members. You’re also the first to know about some of the hottest events in South Florida. Bring your family and friends to movie nights, flower workshops, children’s birthday parties, and other exciting events.
