Children of all ages will enjoy the ‘“quacky” activities in the KID Fun Zone including the KID Olympics, face painting, carnival games, and delicious food trucks in celebration of Splash’s 10th birthday. Then the New River will once again be a sea of yellow as 30,000 rubber ducks race during the 10th Annual KID Duck Fest Derby, presented by JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Community members can buy entries in the race by forming “Duck Teams” or adopting individual ducks for $5 each.

Get “geared up” during the KID Inlet Challenge Bicycle Ride! Riders choose from 3 distances ranging from 15 to 62.5 miles, enjoy a scenic route along A1A, and then come together at the finish line to celebrate their achievements for KID. Whether on a team or riding individually, every rider is sure to enjoy this fun-filled day.

Our longest running event – the Conti Family and Friends Musical Showcase – is celebrating 30 years this February. Started by the matriarch, the event now spans three generations of Conti family members and friends. This musical jam session as a “can’t miss” for true, die hard KID Supporterts!
This year, board member Mike Sipe of Mike Sipe Entertainment will represent KID in its inaugural participation in this fun event. We are honored to have such a prominent – and stylish – community leader “strut his stuff” on to help raise funds for the children and families KID serves.

The New River will once again flood with thousands of rubber ducks wearing sunglasses for the 9th Annual KID Duck Fest Derby, presented by JM Family Enterprises Inc. Benefitting Kids In Distress of Broward and Palm Beach counties (KID), the free family event is set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 at Esplanade Park. Community members can “adopt” individual ducks for $5 by visiting www.DuckFestDerby.org.
Hosted by KID and presented by JM Family Enterprises Inc. and supported by AT&T, SunTrust, Wiring.com, NCL, Mike Sipe Entertainment, Allied Roofing; Searcy, Denney, Scarola, Barnhart and Shipley; and Cartaya & Associate, Architects the KID Duck Fest Derby offers a full day of free family activities including the KID Olympics, face painting, bounce houses, food truck fare, and carnival games.
At 3 p.m. the 30,000 rubber ducks will make their way along the New River as they jockey for position to win the $10,000 Grand Prize. Other prizes include a luxury timepiece donated by Carroll’s Jewelers, a Grande Oaks Golf Club foresome of golf, amazing gift baskets, and more.
Dollars raised at the KID Duck Fest Derby help fill the gap in funding and grants, expand the capacity of community programs, and provide aide to more than 10,000 children and families annually.
