JESSE

When Jesse was born to a drug addicted mother, doctors gave her less than a year to live.  She had congestive heart failure, was addicted to heroin, and had a debilitating skin condition; we were not sure she would survive.  But the specialized attention at KID’s Infant and Toddler Shelter kept her alive.  Today at age 7 she still has some issues, but nothing more than any other 7-year old might have!

JOHN

Three-year old John was found in the car screaming while his mother was passed out in the driver's seat. His dirty clothes and bruises told the story of abuse and neglect. John was brought to the KID Shelter, cleaned up, given new clothes and intensive therapy. Because of you, John now lives with foster parents who are anxious to adopt him.

STEPHANIE AND ANDRE

Twins Stephanie and Andre were a huge disruption in their private preschool classroom, so their mother was referred to the KID Preschool Plus.  When they came to us, they could not sit still for one minute, had no structure and did not communicate much with anyone except each other.  The twins had a language all their own.  With intense therapy and the help of compassionate caring teachers, Stephanie and Andre will be starting Kindergarten on par with their peers - the primary goal of KID Preschool Plus!
