KID Ambassadors Program: KID Ambassadors are a group of energetic, committed volunteers who are interested in helping the Kids In Distress Development Department with community relations and public speaking as well as coordinating and running fundraisers and special events.
Group Volunteer Program: This program is designed to get high school clubs, college organizations, corporations, and businesses involved in the fight against child abuse. Volunteer groups help at our fundraisers and special events and assist in planning outings and events for children in our shelter and foster care programs. They also organize in-kind drives to collect the countless items needed by the children and families we serve. Other group activities include projects such as painting, landscaping and cleaning either on-campus or at the homes of some of our clients.
Teens for KID This program is designed for energetic and dedicated high school students looking for a fun way to fulfill their high school service hours requirement. Teens can get involved in planning events such as mini-carnivals, picnics/field days, and movie nights for abused, abandoned and neglected children. Teens can also help with fundraising and special events. This is an incredible opportunity to give back while gaining valuable leadership experience.
