The first step toward becoming a volunteer is to attend Volunteer Orientation. Orientations are held at 6:30 p.m. in our Conference Center on the Main Campus at 819 NE 26th Street, Wilton Manors, FL. You can click on Volunteer Orientation Calendar and Contact Information for a schedule of Orientation dates.
At the Orientation, you will learn about Kids In Distress as well as the details about different volunteer opportunities that are available. You will receive an information packet with forms to complete if you wish to join our Volunteer program. Volunteers must also participate in required trainings and volunteer meetings.
On campus opportunities to work with our children are available however, each volunteer MUST complete the mandatory orientation & level 2 background screening. In the meantime, please complete the electronic application on this website to inform us of your interest in volunteering.
