WHY SHOULD I BECOME A FOSTER PARENT? There are more than 50,000 children in Florida that deserve a better childhood. Nobody remembers their birthday, nobody remembers their middle name, nobody knows that they hate mayonnaise, and that their favorite color is blue. Nobody helps them with their homework, nobody makes them eat broccoli, nobody tells them “you can do it” or hugs them when they can’t. Nobody packs their lunch and tells them to “have a great day” and nobody is waiting for them when they come home, with a smile and a “how did you do today?” Why should you become a Foster parent? Because being a Foster parent gives a child their childhood back, and it gives you the chance to make a difference.
