Run or Walk to Raise Awareness and Funds for Vulnerable Children in our Community
What: USATF Certified 5K course over sand and trail at John U Lloyd Park in Dania Beach, FL.
When: Saturday, April 14th, 2012
- 6:30 AM Registration
- 7:30 AM Runners Start
- 7:40 AM Walkers Start
- 8:00 AM Billy Beck’s Superman Challenge Starts
- 9:00 AM Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Bahamas BIG DIG” Interactive Raffle Starts $25 per person entry. (Must be 18 to enter)
KID’s Fun Run Starts after 9 AM
Where: John U Lloyd State Park, 6503 Ocean Drive, Dania Beach, FL. The event takes place at the Jetty Pavilion, overflow lot is the Pelican Pavilion
Registration: Online registration closes April 13th at 12:00 PM. Adult entry $35; $45 after April 11th, participants 17 and under are $10; $15 after April 11th. Register at: www.walkforkid.org
Runner Awards: Over $1,000 in prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female finishers!!! Additional awards for top male/female open; top male/female masters (40 & over); top 3 male/female in the following categories: 14 & under; 15-19 years; 20-24 years; 25-29 years; 30-34 years; 35-39 years; 40-44 years; 45-49 years; 50-54 years; 55-59 years; 60-69 years; 70 & over.
Team Awards: Top fundraising team takes home the traveling KID CUP Trophy! Prizes are also given for most team members and best team theme – get creative and have fun!

*Please note: All terrain strollers only; pets are permitted in park but not on beach and must remain on 6 foot leads and attended at all times.
