In collaboration with Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry, The Eye Care Institute at Kid is a way for us to expand our services to the community. The clinic opened in November 2010, with one basic goal: to provide superior, affordable eye care to the entire family.
Centrally located on the beautiful KID campus in Fort Lauderdale in a totally renovated 10,000 square foot building, the clinic is open five days a week, with 24/7 emergency care available. Highly-trained third and fourth year students, using state-of-the-art optical equipment, provide the ultimate in high-quality eye care and perform thorough screening and testing services, while being closely supervised by faculty staff. The students’ number one priority is to ensure that all their patients receive no less than the very best.
We accept insurance, including Medicaid and KidCare, and we also offer discounted rates for those that are uninsured, or underinsured. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff are waiting to hear from you if you have any questions. Call us at (954) 567-5640.
The Eye Care Institute at Kid is the latest of five clinics under the university’s “Eye Care Institute” umbrella and this one offers eight private exam rooms and testing facilities, as well as an optical laboratory and a dispensary, where you and your family can choose from an extensive selection of frames, which can be customized on-site. When you visit The Eye Care Institute, you can be sure that you and your family are on your way to a lifetime of healthy eyes and 20/20 vision!
