Pediatric dental residents and third and fourth year students, supervised by NSU faculty members, provide gentle, thorough dental care to children from six months to 18 years. Our clinic has 12 chairs, 10 of which are in fully-equipped dental lanes and two in private, quiet rooms. Services provided include consultations; check-ups and diagnostic services; preventive and restorative care and digital x-rays. Record-keeping is chair-side and paperless and all services are performed on the very latest, state-of-the-art equipment.
 
KID Dental is the result of a collaborative effort with Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. We renovated a 10,000 square foot building on our campus to accommodate the 5,000 square foot dental clinic, which opened for business in February 2011.

At KID Dental, our emphasis is on preventive care and education, so children learn that oral health and hygiene, and keeping up regular visits to the dentist, are important components of a healthy lifestyle. We don’t want any child to think of the dentist’s office as a scary place; in fact, we want them to look forward to dentist’s appointments, and to consider KID Dental as their dental “home.”

From the moment they set foot in the door and see the smiling faces of our front desk staff, and the “Spongebob Squarepants meets Key West” décor, little ones are put at ease and reassured. In keeping with our goal of ensuring that our patients enjoy oral health for life, we teach them how to take care of their teeth and gums; the right way to brush; flossing techniques; nutrition and more. With a calming color palette reminiscent of sun, sea and sky throughout the clinic, dolphins and pelicans adorning the walls, and fishes and other ocean creatures featured on the ceiling, many children don’t want to leave.
